Run Social Apps on a Real Phone Through Your Mobile Proxy with VLESS

Published · Updated

The social platforms want to see their own app on a real handset, and their apps do not have a proxy field. Until now that pushed people towards emulators or desktop browsers, which is exactly what the platforms are best at spotting. A VLESS line changes the picture. Your ProxySocial line is served by Xray as an encrypted tunnel, a small client on the phone connects to it as if it were a VPN, and the real Instagram or TikTok app on a real phone now exits through your carrier IP. You can route the whole phone or only the apps you choose. This guide covers the phone setup in detail and the desktop clients briefly.

Get the line and decide the routing

In the ProxySocial dashboard, open My proxies. The card for a line that runs Xray shows a VLESS / Xray row with a copy button. Copy it; the whole vless:// string is the credential and contains your id, so keep it as private as a password. Revoke access on the card replaces the id if it ever leaks.

Before installing anything, decide the routing. Whole-phone routing is the simplest and is right for a handset dedicated to one set of accounts. Per-app routing keeps your personal apps on your own connection and sends only the chosen social apps through the line; it is the better choice on a phone you also use yourself, and it avoids mixing your personal logins with the accounts on the line.

VLESS is available on our server-based lines. Handset-based lines do not run it. When buying or moving, tick VLESS / Xray in the filters.

Android: v2rayNG with per-app routing

Open one of the ticked apps and load a page that shows your location, or visit an IP check site in a ticked browser. The IP and city should match the line.

  1. Install v2rayNG from Google Play, or the APK from its releases page on a phone without Play services.
  2. Copy the vless:// line from the dashboard. In v2rayNG tap the plus button and choose Import config from clipboard.
  3. Tap the line so it is selected, then tap the V button. Allow the VPN request.
  4. For per-app routing, open the menu, go to Settings, then Per-app proxy. Switch it on, keep Bypass mode off, and tick Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or whichever apps should use the line.
  5. Reconnect once so the app list takes effect. Everything you ticked now exits through your carrier IP; everything else stays on the phone's own connection.

iPhone: V2Box or Streisand

iOS does not allow true per-app VPN for ordinary apps, so on an iPhone the tunnel routes the whole device. That is fine for a handset dedicated to the accounts; for a personal phone, disconnect the tunnel when you are done.

  1. Install V2Box from the App Store. Open Configs, tap the plus button, then Import from clipboard.
  2. Select the line and tap the connect button. Allow the VPN configuration and confirm with Face ID.
  3. The VPN badge in the status bar means the social apps are now on your line.
  4. Streisand works the same way if you prefer its interface.

Desktop, if you also manage from a computer

On Windows, v2rayN imports the same line with Ctrl and V, and the System proxy switch routes your browsers. On a Mac, V2Box is the same app as on iPhone. If you run anti-detect browsers, you do not need the tunnel at all: give each profile the line's SOCKS5 login instead, which is what those browsers are built for.

Whichever you use on the desktop, keep to one device actively logged into a given account at a time. The tunnel does not change the platforms' view of concurrent sessions.

Habits that keep accounts healthy on the tunnel

  • Connect the tunnel before opening the social app, and keep it connected for the whole session. Switching IPs mid-session is what looks odd, not the proxy itself.
  • Leave rotation off while an account is logged in unless you have a reason. A sticky session on one carrier IP is closer to how a real phone behaves.
  • Set the phone's time zone and language to match the line's city. The tunnel hides your network path, not your device settings.
  • Do not log personal accounts into the ticked apps. Per-app routing exists so the two worlds never share an IP.

If it will not connect

Check the phone's clock is set automatically; a drifted clock breaks the REALITY handshake. Make sure the whole line was copied, from vless:// to the name at the end, because chat apps sometimes split it across lines. If the client says the user id is invalid, the line was moved or switched since you copied it; copy the current line from the dashboard again.

Frequently asked

Will Instagram or TikTok see that I am using a tunnel?

They see a request from their own app on a real handset arriving from a carrier IP. The tunnel between the phone and the modem is not visible to them.

Can I run per-app routing on an iPhone?

Not for ordinary apps. iOS routes the whole phone through the VPN. Use a dedicated handset, or disconnect when you switch to personal use.

Does the tunnel count against my connection limit?

Each connected device counts as one client. A phone on the tunnel and a browser profile on SOCKS5 are two clients on the same line.

USA mobile proxies on hardware we own

Real 4G and 5G carrier IPs in eight US metros that rotate as often as you like, stay sticky when you need, and speak HTTP(S) or SOCKS5. Two hours on a line cost $2; a full day starts at $5, and the hours you bought are counted toward it.
